review 1: This one was featured on many best books and best business book lists. What caught me was the idea of an adventure travel business model that engages westerners with communities and people around the world in a way that leaves both richer for the experience. A type of travel that is something between the backpacker and the sort of "neo-Marriott" tourism that involves entombing the tourist in hotels just like they could stay in at home…the only difference may be the weather. The author's personal story is also a compelling one. His drive and continual perseverance against obstacles is inspiring.the jury is still out…but so far..an interesting book.
