review 1: People come into your life for a reason and then leave. Not until later do you realize the impact they had in your life at that time. This book demonstrates this and our willingness to take something at face value, on faith alone. It's not a tear jerker, not religious, or very spiritual, but there is an underlying current of peace and contentment throughout, encouraging you to think about your own life. This now has a home in my constant re-reads.
review 2: At first I thought it was a murder mystery but I was way off. The book is about a guy named Bryce who befriends his somewhat odd new neighbor across the street. The new neighbor named JP takes Bryce on an intellectual journey that changes his life forever. I truly loved the book and I'm sad to have finished ... moreit, I enjoyed all the stories JP gave to ponder...I would have loved to have him as my neighbor! less
