review 1: I can't say I thought much of the story premise, but I was wrapped up in the characters. They were very well written. I wish I had known before starting the story that the author based the story upon some of his own experiences. I think I would have read it differently. Still, the characters kept me wrapped up. Joey had me curious, I really like Liz, and I so wanted to kick Jack for "finding reasonable explanations" for everything under the sun.
review 2: I love scary stories and this ranks high on my list for creepiness. This book starts with a couple and their child moving into a huge house and then the haunting begins. The only problem I had with the story is the thoughts and actions by the dad and the fact that the wife and the son waited forever to talk ab... moreout what they had seen. Also what happened to the missing things. I give it 5 stars for scary factor but 3 for character interaction. So 4 star book and I would recommend the read if you like ghosts! less
