review 1: I read this book in one day! Like the 1st it's a def. page turner. You can't help but want the absolute best for Youngblood although his way of life isn't ideal. He loves his children and he is loyal to the two leading women in his life. Usually, that situation would seem wrong but both women are willing participants and choose to fit in where they can. They both are ride or die chicks down to protect their man. I can't wait for the 3rd installment of this series.
review 2: Bring It On!Down for a little while, but certainly not out, Youngblood is on the prowl. Topping his list are his baby mama, Cheryl, who ran off with his stash and his daughters, and the unknown individuals who tried to lay him down. His answer to the unknown, "I'd ride on ALL my enemies, tha... moret way I was sure to get the guilty one." Youngblood's agenda quickly changes as he is made an offer he can't refuse by friend Murder Mike. Seeing dollar signs and a win-win situation, he's down for the cause. Will Youngblood keep it funky and always remember his own creed to trust no man?After briefly bringing readers up to speed with how part one ended, which I found helpful, TRUST NO MAN 2 kicks into overdrive. With a good measure of action and drama, TNM2 was a very quick and easy read. I actually enjoyed this book more than its predecessor. Two things that did it for me: Youngblood's growth and the realistic consequences to actions. Very seldom is there a happily ever after, but you can't tell that by some of this street lit today, as if there are no reactions for every action. It was a gamble, but it was a gamble that paid off for this reader. less
