review 1: Another dark and gritty novel, this time from Jack’s POV. It was interesting to hear his voice for a change and see how much he was willing to sacrifice in order to protect Pete, which throws a new light on this very selfish and on first look, unlikeable character. I enjoyed learning a little more about the Black and am looking forward to the next book as certain things seemed to have been set up in this instalment. My main problem with this novel was the plot. It seemed that the first part of the novel, which included a little trip to the countryside didn't do all that much for the actual storyline and it didn't seem to flow very well.

... morerst one I listened to and the narrator was absolutely awesome! Partly because this one is darker, is told more from Jack's POV (and not Pete's as first book). Can't say I wasn't expecting for them to end up in one bed but I haven't expected it to happen on the first dozen pages! And the day after they were togehter he leaves her while she still sleeps?!? And al his ramblings about not wanting to upset Pete by his imminent death?! Like she won't become upset when he kicks it!Anyways, it was interesting. And the British accent saved the book! I so wish I had an audiobook! less

Emotionally exhausting, but I loved every page of it. I adore Jack & Pete.
