review 1: MISS MERRY'S CHRISTMAS by Callie Hutton. Callie is one new author that I really love. All of her books are great. This one was sweet, sexy, loving and caring story. It has a feisty American governess/friend, an English snotty governess, a total Hottie Duke, 2 orphaned young girls, a roguish brother and I super Dowager Duchess with a eye to her son's heart and will use dishonest means to make him fall in love. This book get 3 fingers up and 8 toes.
review 2: I liked this book up until almost the end. Miss Merry is the governess for two young English Ladies. Their parents have recently passed away and Miss Merry is delivering the girls to their new guardian. I loved that Merry is an American who intellectually understands the English class system but doesn't agre... moree with it. Of course that causes instant sparks to fly between her and the duke, the girls' guardian. What I didn't like was the premarital relations near the end of the book. It was a charming story up to that point. 3 1/2 stars. less
