review 1: This was actually the 2nd time I read this. The first time I felt like killing Ren and had to take a breather from the book. There was some serious angst going on. The second time round I was able to read it with a smoother head; knowing what to expect helped - characters with serious flaws and a total lack of communication between them equaled a pretty gripping story. Highly enjoyable, just don't expect the main protagonists to be above some basic weak human behavior. We're not a perfect race but I like to think when we make a mistake we learn and can be the better for it...
review 2: I started reading this thinking I wasn't going to like it because of the reviews saying it had one the MC's cheating but honestly IMO I didn't see that the "cheating" even consti... moretuted as cheating. It wasn't like they had a relationship, Cade might have thought to himself he loved Ren but never voiced how he felt , not to mention that he didn't even talk to Ren for weeks after. So his finding comfort with Tex even though I thought it was wrong wasn't really cheating. This is the third book I've read in the series and have enjoyed all three of them and would recommend reading them. less
