review 1: First of all why would you publish a book, and then rerelease it in the most chopped up confusing way possible? I'm trying to buy in to the story line but it feels like a 'Scary Movie' type like at hunger games and current society. And what are the ranked on? It's not very specific. And I get that stuff about society needs to be explained, but it sounds dumb for people that are supposed to be her peers to do the explaining. It implies she should already know it, and makes it obvious it's just done for our benefit. It makes the dialogue sound cheesy.

... moreere were parts I liked - the concept of people being ranked, and the explanation of 'tens' was quite clever. But what really let this book down was the similarities to The Hunger Games. If the author had come up with something more original for the main chunk of this story then this could have been a good book. less
