review 1: This novel moves along at a good pace and has interesting new characters, and reasonable dialogue. Being reminded every ten pages that Erica was pregnant with twins did become tiresome, though. It would be good to see some character development of the usual police officers who remain rather undefined. Overall, a good paced, interesting story but the final paragraph is a little too obvious a lead into the next book...unless I'm wrong!
review 2: Didn't enjoy this as much as some of the others in the series. One of my favorite things is the description of the Swedish setting and its similarities to this part of Canada and there wasn't much of that in this book. The mystery itself also wasn't as good. However the recurring police characters are very likable and t... morehey and their families very believable ordinary people. The backstory has been well developed in the previous books and this one certainly ends on a cliff hanger that has me waiting for the next volume. less
