review 1: I have so many issues with this book - I can see why it was in the bargain bin. It's supposed to be about two best friends and their dealing with friendship after a traumatic accident. I felt lost throughout the whole book. There were several plots that were brought up, just for the sake of adding some kind of drama? (Not needed). The protagonist lacked any kind of self-esteem and I never felt that I got to 'know' her best friend, which so much of the story rested upon. Finally, the whole lost love plot strung throughout the book, then turned around in one paragraph seemed a little quick...ultimately, this story lacked focus, or it should have had a different focus than 'forgetting'.
review 2: This was an easy read and perfect for vacation. It was smartly writt
... moreen and funny enough to make me laugh out loud a few times. It was easy to become engrossed with the characters and see parts of myself and my own friends and people I have known within the story. It is a tale about two friends but more importantly, a tale about personal growth and letting go of the past to be able to embrace the present. I did not think of it as a challenging read or one that taught me something new but instead, it reminded me of what I already know. And this is perhaps equally as important. less
