review 1: The Egg Said Nothing is most definitely the strangest book I have read in a long time. It's about Manny and how he woke up one morning with an egg between his legs. Not a chicken egg, larger, a people egg. When he leaves his apartment he goes to a diner where he falls in love with a waitress. He keeps going back until he can work up the courage to talk to her. Just when things are looking good for Manny he discovers that the egg has broken and things really start to get strange or should I say stranger. I don't want to say anymore because to do so would spoil the experience. You need the element of surprise when reading this book. And I certainly hope a lot of people decide to do just that. You won't regret it.
review 2: This is the third New Bizarro Author Ser
... moreies book I've read this year. It's one of my favourites. I’ve got two favourites from this group. This is one of them. I love this book. Caris O’Malley knocked my socks off with this one. Then knocked my teeth in. With a shovel. The Egg Said Nothing is a nightmarishly ultraviolent romance time-travel insane book thing that is not so much outwardly weird as it is psychotically fucked up. It gets in your head and doesn’t let up. When I first read it, it felt like what I’d expect to read if Chuck Palahniuk started out with bizarro instead of all of that Fight Club stuff. I guess it’s not all that different. Caris certainly packs a lot of solid punches. And it all starts with a man waking up one morning to find an egg between his legs. I’m really keen to see what he comes up with next. Brilliant. less

Yes, despite the fact that I've been informed that this is Time Travel, I've decided not to read it.
