review 1: Probably more of a 2.5I'll try to avoid spoilers but can't guarantee:The tone of this book was just off for me. The nickname that Alec made Max use was creepy and it all felt a bit rushed. Max didn't even appear interested in BDSM and suddenly he's moved in with the guy?! Unrealistic IMO. Also Alec was way too controlling, I know that was his thing but I feel it could have been portrayed better, perhaps more consensual or at least Max being better informed before agreeing to be Alec's 'baby'. Basically I didn't like Alec.
review 2: I didn't enjoy this book like I did the first unfortunately, the description when I read it was very appealing but then I read the book and well...it was really unrealistic and annoying, I kept correcting some sentences with words th... moreat would've sounded better and make the book more enjoyable. It had alot of potential, I just couldn't finish it though.For a DS book it didn't make sense? yeah Alec enjoys some spanking and a little order but that's it, would you call that a domineer and submissive relationship? There were some very cliched bits that just made the whole thing fake. She just threw characters in there to fill the gaps and coincidentally all related to the problem at hand, but like I said, it had a lot of potential. And shouldn't the whole student teacher bit be illegal? ah well who needs logic. less
