review 1: OK so I read the 1st book, then the prequel and had to find the next 2. My library had #3 so I actually had to pay (gasp, spoiled by bookbub) to get it on kindle and I read the whole thing today (most during bowling!) I enjoyed the story and the characters. I liked Gerald in the 1st book, so was glad to see him get his happy ending, though of course it took him awhile to see he was in love with his wife! Katherine seems shy, but that was because her mother treated her terribly, as did her 1st husband. I loved that Katherine was 30, 2 years older than Gerald. Now I am off to read Charles' story.
review 2: While this book was better than the first in the series, One Night in London... it was still blah for me. I was so sick to death of repeatedly reading of how
... more plain, ugly, and undesirable the heroine was in the beginning. The heroines mother needed to be slapped, and once again the "bad guy-crisis-drama" was not so much a crisis like it is hyped up to be (same situation in the first book). This author does write some good romance scenes, but I found myself skimming too much of the book because it was overall... blah. less
