review 1: Finally finished. It was slow going most of the book. It had some kind of supernatural issue going on and it wasn't really addressed at the end. All the animals kept wanting to get to the baby, coming in the house or coming from down the street. Nothing really happened in the story. I did like all the characters, especially Josh, the baby. Although he was doing things at 3 months that a 6 month old would normally be doing. But that was a small part of the book. It was mostly a month in the life type of story.
review 2: I really wanted to like this novel more than I did, but I suppose the context of the story really irritated me. From the get go I did not like Natalie at all and that continued well into the book. Her personality really grated on my nerves pretty
... more much through the entire thing. From the beginning I really liked Lucas and I felt bad for him for Natalie's dishonesty and manipulation. Sure Natalies personality began to change toward the end of the book but by then I felt it was too late for for her to make up for the rest of it, which made it difficult for me to really get into the book whole heartedly. Its still a decent book and worth reading but for me - it wasn't one of my favorites. less
