review 1: I had a good time reading this and it flew by. Kitty is isolated from her allies and is kidnapped by a quasi cult trying to fight her arch nemesis Roman. I found the new characters interesting because they were devoted to their mission but were still individuals. I enjoyed seeing Kitty completely cut off from her allies/pack because without the team behind her we are allowed to see how much she has grown from the beginning of the series. She is no longer the timid victim but someone who is proactive about her survival and fighting the good fight.
review 2: I like the theme of this book in the series. The theme is the importance of stories. "Stories were important. Whether they were true or not, they held their own history of the world, and we kept telling them
... morebecause they meant something." Vaughn has been building on mythological characters and stories for several books in this series, and this latest is a more obvious connection to these oldest of stories that live deep within us and influence us whether we realize that connection or not. less

good not great. They are popcorn, but I like popcorn, especially on vacation.

A mediocre entry into what seems to be a fading series...
