review 1: Fed up with the endless details involved in planning a wedding, Kitty and Ben spontaneously decide to take off to Las Vegas for a few days and get married there instead. But nothing ever goes as planned in Kitty's world, and a bunch of obstacles need to be overcome before the wedding bells can ring...A quick and entertaining read as always, though I'm still not a big fan of Ben and their whole romance story. Could someone break Cormac out of jail instead, please? Great cliffhanger ending, though - bring on the next part!
review 2: This book was so completely out in left field compared to the rest of the series thus far. The plot was just so contrived, I couldn't stop my eyes rolling. Ben and Kitty decide to go to Vegas to get married and everything is going c
... moreompletely as planned until about halfway through, where apparently Ms. Vaughn realized she didn't have any conflict whatsoever in this book yet and threw a wrench in the works. A completely, "are you serious here?" kind of wrench where Ben "disappears" right before their wedding, followed by Kitty basically having a panic attack for half a book.In all fairness, I think my reaction to events probably has a lot to do with how much crime fiction I read. I couldn't hold back my skepticism that the police would be talking to Kitty at all, except maybe to question her about Ben. See, because, missing persons are usually reported by the friends/family of the disappeared, right? And then Kitty going on a completely wild goose chase back to the creepy were-tigers rather than actually following the lead she's been given. There have been some contrived plot bits in previous books (like tangenting in DC to follow a crazy fairy in book 2?), but generally everything's been pulled together and makes sense by the end of the book. Not really so here. And given the epilogue, I can tell that was on purpose; since the overarching conflict of the last four books was neatly tidied up in the previous book, she needed some new big bad to face. The thing that really annoyed me though...I have no clue what the title had to do with this story! less

This one went by really fast for me, especially last half of the book. Another good one.

Curiosity killed the cat or at least got this Kitty into more trouble! Fun series!
