review 1: Fun book with funny character (she's always thinking about clothes) who talks to ghost. Great start to the story, in which main character is forced to steal a set of bones from a Cleveland cemetary and cart them to the Southwest to exchange as ransom for a kidnapped friend. The book got a little out of hand, the main character foolishly turned down several opportunities to turn to the police, and I found the plot as revealed at the end wildly improbable. But the characters were strong and funny, and the ghosts well handled. I'll try another one of these.Note: main character jumps into bed with people with hardly any time lost, but at least it happened behind closed doors.
review 2: In Daniel's paranormal mystery, Pepper Martin is still unemployed, and her p
... moreotential cop boyfriend refuses to believe in or talk about her Gift. And then her geeky friend, Dan, is kidnapped and the ransom calls for Pepper to steal the bones of Chester Goodshot Gomez from Garden View Cemetery. The rowdy ghost of Goodshot is only too happy to accompany Pepper on her journey to New Mexico where she expects to exchange the bones for Dan. But all hell breaks loose; the bones are stolen; bodies are turning up everywhere; and Pepper? Well she's hard at work investigating the situation as only someone Gifted can. An entertaining, supernatual joy ride that I couldn't put down until the very last page. less

I enjoy this series. Ghosts, mystery, hot people, Will that pretty much sums it up.
