In Too Deep
review 1: I have read the first three books in the "in too deep" series so by the time I was finished with the first two, I was interested to read about Emily and Ethan's story. My opinion is that you need to read the first two before you read this one. All books are a continuation from the last one, so you may be a tad confused or feel like you missed something. It was an enjoyable read for me and I love the story of Ethan and Emily, I just found myself wanting more. Emily and Ethan met in Las Vegas in "Three Years Later" . I would have loved to have a few flashbacks of their time in Las Vegas when they met. Emily is still holding on to her hometown crush Jeremy and believes she will eventually marry him, since she always felt that way growing up. But then she meets Ethan and disc... moreovers he is more than Jeremy ever has been and ever will be to her, but is she ready to give up Jeremy for good? And will Ethan be willing to stick around as she figure things out? This sounds like a love triangle but to me, it lacked the necessary components of a love triangle, for Jeremy wasn't really present enough and he obviously wasn't very likable. I recommend this to anyone who likes quick and light romances and doesn't mind reading a series. This is an stand alone for each story is about a different couple, but I do think all books should be read from beginning to end. **I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review** :)
review 2: *Received this book in a Goodreads First Reads Giveaway. I must start by saying that I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. I hadn't read the authors previous books but didn't feel I was too lost in the story without them which I liked. It did, in fact, make an instant buyer for the first two novels because I wanted to know Collin/Rachel and Gretchen/Josh relationship history. The characters seemed very well rounded and stable throughout the book. Ethan, a handsome trust fund baby, is going for Olympic gold in swimming. Although we don't know if he ever made it it really didn't matter since it was a "job" and not a huge part of his makeup. He was pegged as the playboy with charms to woo any woman and he proved charming enough to me as a reader. So much so that I had to stop and wonder if he was a real person! Oh how I wish he was! Emily is a young, straight-laced dancer from humble living standards that shows she has a good heart and witty personality. Still in love with her high school sweetheart (a dumb jock still immature in the ways of love), Emily tries to choose between the two men. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't stop laughing. The author wrote both characters SO well and stayed true to their personalities. I loved it and recommend it to people who love a good, witty romance. Deeply satisfying easy read!- T.R.
