review 1: Until I finished this series I didn't realize how in love I was with this whole set of books. It is kind of a special thing when a certain book just forms attachments in your heart. I don't know how to explain it to people who are not book lovers. This book has done so much for me. I wanted to scream I wanted to leap in the air, I bawled several times. I love when a book makes me cry because than I know the author has done something right. I've become so attached to these characters and I've become so interwoven in their story that it makes me sad that I'm finished. The infernal devices series has touched my heart deeply and I can only say that about a few books. Thats why this series has shot its way up to one of my all time favorite series. Cassandra Clare gave these cha... moreracters such depth that I felt like I was a part of them. The author did an amazing job at interweaving the stories of The Mortal Instrument series and the Infernal Devices series. I finally realized where they fell into place and it was such a beautiful thing. It reminded me of the Harry Potter Series in the fact that everything just comes together so perfectly.
review 2: I wasn't really looking forward to this final book because I had been disappointed in the Clockwork Prince. But, I wanted to finish the series so I downloaded the book to my Kindle. (Side note, the Kindle edition definitely had some problems in the first 4 or 5 chapters. Sentences were cut short, or did not carry over correctly to the next page. It finally resolved itself but was really annoying at first.) At any rate, I would give this book 3.5 stars. It far surpassed the Clockwork Prince. The story grabs you and it was a definite page turner for me. I ended up staying up all night to read it. I did find the last section of the book a little anti-climatic and a bit long. It was an interesting way to resolve all the relationship issues. But, I found myself wondering why the story was still continuing. It could have ended several times. It finally made sense at the end, but that's probably why I can't give it four stars. I thought it was too contrived and convenient to have it work out the way it did. It's weird, because I do love happy endings, but this felt weird. less
