review 1: ohmy where to start? This book was an emotional rollercoaster. In a good way. First of all the story is very interesting, I think it places everything in the near future, where robots and androids live with humans. And then it focuses more on relationships and human nature, which I enjoyed so much. This is one of the books you just need to stop reading after some chapters, because you have so many quastions and feelings inside you. Sometime even hurt reading, but I don't mind.
review 2: After seeing this on the shelf at the bookstore I was instantly intrigued. So I read little bit and pieces of it, and immediately fell in love with the premise. Since I had other books I was also keen on buying I had to be sure that this was the best out of all of them so I read
... more the last page, to check for a decently happy ending and then bought it. The beginning was amazing, I loved seeing how Cat grew up with Finn and the writing was different and interesting. The middle however was a bit of a disappointment. The writing was fairly passive (which was interesting in the beginning but a little depressing later on), and Cat did some stupid things. Also since this book spanned many years rather than just a few weeks or days like most other books, I had a hard time seeing Cat as an adult rather than the kid she had been at the beginning. I think while Cat wasn't a very strong character or very nice, she was pretty realistically depressing and selfish. I loved Finn of course, but I would liked more of him. Richard was an A-hole, but I loved Daniel (ahh so cute!) and Cat's father was a great character. I did enjoy the romance between Finn and Cat even if it was missing something. All in all if was a rather sad read, I'm not really sure why I mean there was a happy ending after all, but I am glad I read it. less
