The Hanna Duology
review 1: Hanna has grown up hearing tales of adventure from her mother regarding her namesame, Ananna (The Pirate's Wish/The Assassin's Curse), and wants adventure of her own. Hanna is apprenticed to a fisherman named Kolur, who tricks her into a nautical voyage she doesn't want to make. Along the way, Hanna uses her magic to fight the Mists, and befriends a merboy. Angry with Kolur for duping her, she jumps ship and sails with another group of fishermen, hoping to save enough money to find passage home. Lots of magic and mystery in this book by local Houston author, Cassandra Rose Clarke. I liked her other series better (The Pirate's Wish and the Assassin's Curse).
review 2: Woah... that was a boring reading. The plot and the characters are annoying. I felt irritated t
... morehe way, the girl, Hanna was obliged to live in such a tough adventure, because of a silly love story from a fake fisherman. And even more annoyed, to find out that the same villain from the last duology is back! It was a tiring reading! I won't waste my time reading the sequel. I'm disappointed with this book. less
