review 1: With A LITTLE WANTING SONG, Cath Crowley has become one of my favorite writers. Her writing is lyrical, beautiful, and she packs so much meaning into each sentence, I find myself running through my own manuscript, thinking of ways to trim down the fat. She's amazing--the story of Rose and Charlies is one of longing and heartbreak and first love and risks. Her language is purely poetic and I love Charlie's way of seeing the world--through beats and breaths of music. I relate to that so much and it makes me want to pick up my own guitar! Crowley is a master.
review 2: When I first started reading this book I thought it was a little odd. Both the writing style and the main characters. Then I realized they were just different, different from the numerous other cha
... moreracters I have read about over the years. These guys were real, they were flawed, shy, loud, scared, but oh so real. I read this one in two days and I loved it. Give it at least 100 pages and you will to....or at least you should. Thanks Cath Crowley for writing this. less
