review 1: The ending was definitely not as smooth as I'd wanted it to be. She just up and leaves without really playing out her goodbyes, or if she has, the author's jumped right through them, but for better or for worse, I liked this book. I imagine this would probably be how Taylor Swift spent her summers; writing songs about the girls who were mean to her or the boys she was to shy to talk to or strum chords on her guitar to find the perfect notes to fit the lyrics...so I definitely dug that bit of the book the most! ♥
review 2: With something like 1,800 reviews, I once again feel like I don't have much fresh to contribute. This is a sweet, lyrical and tender book, with two MC's you come to care for in very different ways. I did find Rose a bit off putting at firs
... moret, she was so angry, manipulative and brusque. There's something to her though, and she's not as bad as she likes to think she is. Her coming to feel not only affection for Charlie, but protective of her, is a moving part of the book, and by the end I was rooting for both of them. There's something subtle about this one - it's not all dramatic (for the most part), but it still packs an emotional wallop. less

Would've been 3 or 3.5 stars if I were comparing it to Graffiti Moon.
