review 1: Rayner, Catherine. (2008). Harris finds his feet. PA: Little Tiger Press Kate Greenaway Award 2009Picture Soak Book This book was about Harris the rabbit who is unhappy about having big feet. His grandfather takes him on an adventure to show him how his big feet are useful. The illustrations in this book are very simple, but they tell the story nicely. I think this book would be beneficial to use in the classroom to show the students that even if they are not happy about something about themselves, they can try to look at it in a more positive way. This is a “feel good” book that will be uplifting to the students. I thoroughly enjoyed this book because of the lesson behind it. I think it is so important that children look at their weaknesses and turn them into streng... moreths.
review 2: I like the sentiment of this book; a young hare learns to grow up from his grandpa. The final thing is finding his feet. This is very relateable to young children because they have so many people to look up to in their lives, people that teach them very important things that they will carry with them for a lifetime. This book allows children to learn appreciation over these specific things. It's not as playful as most, but still enjoyable! Good lesson learning for children! less
