review 1: Talk about Graffiti Moon, Nick & Norah's, etc... I felt the same way I felt for those books while i was reading this. It makes one feel good and light and tweeny. I just hated what I thought were OA descriptions Anya was using to talk about what she was feeling for Dan, I mean the flipping over of the heart and some pinkish stuff like that, but over all, I loved the atmosphere in the book. Especially, that once again, I was able to hang with cool dudes like Anya's friends in the story.
review 2: It's a sweet story for tweens about a polish girl Anya's experiences as she moves with her family to Liverpool. Life in England doesn't turn out to be as much fun as she thought it to be. She hates her apartment, has a hard time at school , her family has almost run out
... more if money and in the midst of it all she meets a boy who is supposedly not good for her. This is such a cute story aimed for middle school readers. It speaks of the importance of believing in yourself and choosing the right friendships. The author does a great job in delivering these messages as well as making it a fun read. less
