review 1: I thought this was quite a clever book, filled with friendships, disasters and chocolate!! The story started out good, but then got a little bit boring. But it was awesome at the end and I liked it. Cherry is a girl who lives with her dad, Paddy, who worked at a chocolate factory. Then, her dad meets a woman and they fall in love. She's called Charlotte and she has 3 daughters: Honey, Coco and Skye. Their parents had divorced. So, they meet up and decide to become a family together. Honey is very unpleasant towards Cherry, especially after Honey finds out Cherry has fallen in love with her boyfriend, Shay. Afterwards, everything comes crashing down. Not to mention the little chocolate business the family is opening.I liked this book, but what I hated about it was Cherry he... morerself. She was annoying, acting all 'my mom died so it's fine that I'm acting the way I am' and she's a liar. She lies ALL THE TIME. Even unnecessary times. She frustrated me so much throughout the book. And she acts all 'I'm always left out, I'll always be ignored.' So, I really didn't like Cherry.
review 2: This was a really sweet read. Cherry lives alone with her dad since her mum died and she doesn't fit in very well with the people in her school so when her dad reconnects with an old sweetheart and her dad decides to move in with her, she is happy for changes to occur. She loves Charlotte her dads girlfriend but when they move to her lovely home and town what she doesn't expect to find is that Charlotte already has 4 daughters and one of them is determined to get rid of her. Things can only get worse when she falls for someone elses boyfriend and doesn't quite know where she fits in. The whole story was a lovely summery read, all about friendships, family and first loves.Another fantastic book from Cathy Cassidy less
