review 1: Overall, I thought this visit to Grayslake was a fun departure from some of the angst out there in fiction.What I like: I love that Celia Kyle makes her heroine tough, funny and curvy. Lauren was all of those things. I loved that Parker was back in action. The villains were slimy and got theirs in the end. What I didn't like so much: I thought Mia's admonitions to stop cursing got old really fast. The joke just didn't stand up through the whole book. And while I love the concept of mating, Van and Lauren never talked about themselves a whole lot. And I thought that Anna entered a new relationship way too fast after enduring her husband.Celia Kyle always provides a great mix of humor, great sex, and good conflict. I'll continue to follow this se... moreries!
review 2: Celia Kyle is my go-to when I need some funny and spicy shifters and a love (and sex) connection between an alpha shifter and a curvy woman with spunk, and this book is no exception. This series is a bit more serious, though, than most of her other shifter ones, but I like it just as well. Throw in some fighting between wolf, coyote, and bear shifter sects, and I like it even better.Thumbs up for this one. And can't wait until the next in the series.Thanks for reading. less
