review 1: I received this book by signing up for Celia Kyle's newsletter on her website.OK, so the first thing I'll mention is the cover - this is supposed to be a BBW book but the woman/girl on the cover is anything but. Aside from that though I enjoyed this quick but steamy novella. It starts with Lyla running and as she runs, you find out why (sort of). She runs smack into Michael who is able to protect her. To be honest, out of the books I got free for signing up for her newsletter, this is the one I liked the least because there is very little storyline and the ending was there before you knew it. I like the idea of this book but felt that it just didn't last long enough. One thing I will say is that I LOVED that Lyla was a Weremutt, also known as a Wusky! I thought that little s... morenippet was inspired and it made me smile every time I read it.
review 2: For a short, this was pretty good. It had some elements I loved. I tp loved that she was the were and the one claiming a mate. I loved that she was not the teeny timpani super model type. I am not really sure why they have a skinny chick on the cover since the only female in the story is supposed to be big. I liked that it started with suspense. What I had a difficult time with was the ending. It felt like something important was missing. I also felt like some key details in the plot were missing, but that tends to happen in shorter reads. I recieved this book when I signed up for her emails. I will probably read more by her. It sounds like she has a pretty interesting shifter world in her imagination and I would like to read more about it. less

Fun. A bit of a twist on the usual shifter story.
