review 1: I can't wait to share this one in storytime. It would be a good fit for a transportation theme, or a whole storytime on Go/Stop. Self-regulation is one of those executive functioning skills that is hard to learn for little bodies! (and grown ups too!) I also like the rich vocabulary hidden in the pages, and the illustrations match the mood of the story very well. I like the inclusion of the real photos of dirt to add that element of collage and reality.
review 2: This terrific book combines the concept of stop and go with construction! One day, little green said a word: Go! And the construction trucks woke up and got to work. But when there's a little too much go and things get out of hand, little red steps in with a new word: Stop! They work together wit... moreh hilarious results and a bridge gets built. And just as the cars start to drive over the bridge, little yellow rolls into town. I bet you can guess little yellow's word! This book would work well with any construction, things that go, or movement storytime! less
