review 1: I fell in love with "Frozen" even before I watched the whole movie. I watched it at Christmas 2013 and fell completely in love, not only with the haracters, but with the setting, the details, the story and especially the costumes.2014 is probably the cosplay-year of "Frozen", cause whereever you look, you can see Elsas and Annas in different variations and with different ages. Guess who will be one of them one day? Yeah, me.My friend kind of convinced me to sew her an Anna-costume and work on an Elsa-costume for my self, and I''ll start working on it during autumn. The Art of Frozen is the perfect book to base that work on, it shows the initial design as well as it gives reason why the costumes look how they look in the movie.I love the images as well as the text in this bo... moreok, the interview-slates are awesome and show a great deal how much work people had while animating and planning this movie.I rate it with 5 stars, bcause it is an awesome piece of art about the Art of a great movie. I only wish for mor detailed pictures of Elsas Coronation dress, but for that the internet will have to be enough.
review 2: After seeing the movie Frozen, I rushed home to see if I could find any additional information of this beautiful movie. I ordered 'The Art of Frozen' hoping for a couple more concept art sketches to satify my interest in the art and background to the movie. What I got was so much more. What arrived was a 100 and something paged book full of beautiful concepts arts and photos for places of inspiration, along with lots of writing from the director and designers of this movie. There were pages and pages of writing about how they orginailly began this movie, the importance of Norway as their backdrop and I was able to get a really good idea of the level of detail that goes into creating a Disney Princess movie.I highly recommend this book. It's stunning to look at and you really do get your movie's worth. less
