review 1: I enjoyed Terence and Perrin's love story but the main reason I rated it a 2 was that I only felt like I got half of the story. It was ended with sort of a happily ever after mentality of everything's going to be great as soon as they meet the new pack. I was also influenced by the fact that I had read a similar book as far as the new alpha and mate in a pack storyline goes by Stormy Glenn called Pint-sized Prince. It had a lot more to offer the storyline. I personally find this ironic because in general I like Charlie Richard's series more than Stormy Glenn and find her characters more rounded and empathetic but I have to give credit where credit is due.
review 2: Terence has finally found his mate, who claims him before he even gets a hi, how are you out of h... moreim? Perrin has spent his entire life in confinement and experimented on by the scientists. So he is only acting on instinct in claiming and trusting Terence.I would have loved a little more of Terence's acclimating to the 'world' learning to read, learning about shifters, cars, money, shopping..etc..that would have added something different and unusual to the mate/mine story.i also would have liked knowing how Perrin ended up with the scientists. Where were his parents and are they after him? As it was it was a nice addition to the series, even if Terence left his pack and Kontra and now lives with Perrin's pride. less
