review 1: Short sweet story, really enjoyed.Judy is a loveable curvy girl crushing on Steven for the longest time. After a breakup her brother invites her on a little getaway trip on a boat but she has no idea Steven is there. What happens when these two are together in the same spot, sparks flies and words too, very funny, sweet, touching and hot read, only complain is that it was way too short wanted to keep reading more about them!
review 2: Like many others who have reviewed this book, I thought it was ok. Not great, not terrible just ok. The whole long-time-crush on brother's best friend theme is one of my absolutely favorites, and is what hooked me in to this. I was disappointed by how little development there was of that element. What was there was explained a... morewkwardly and just didn't seem to fit. Neither character was really likable for me either. So, by now you are probably betting that there must be amazing sex scenes since I still liked the book but have not liked much about it. I hate to disappoint you, but I thought those scenes were not especially well done either. They definitely did not turn me on. So why did I say I like the book? The fact is that the writing itself is stellar. If you are a Bridget Jones fan you will love the somewhat self-deprecating outlandish humor written through the main character. That alone saved the story in my opinion and made me like it despite feeling disappointed on the whole. I think I will explore more by this author to see if I like her other books as I enjoyed the style, just felt like she rushed through this one without really spending time on the thematic elements. less
