review 1: I really like how Chelsea wrote the story about Stryker and Katie. It was NOT a normal romance story. Katie dealt with a lot of current issues in her life and Stryker was there for her through it all. But then Stryker dealt with a lot of past issues. I love Stryker and enjoyed that he was just a normal college guy that loves music, his tattoos and his piercings. Katie comes from the suburb and sees Stryker as a Great shoulder to lean on. Their relationship starts off a little backwards but grows and hits many bumps. Katie is Not your normal "jealous" college girl - she has a backbone and I enjoyed her as a breathe of fresh air. There were a couple of surprises in the book - so my emotions were up and down, but in the end I was glad I took the time to read this st... moreory and live in their world for a little while.
review 2: This is the story of complete opposites being completely attracted to each other and slowly, very slowly falling for each other. Katie is the sweet, bubbly girl who loves pink; really loves pink. But she has issues. She just got out of a rocky relationship with a guy who ended up beating her very badly when she ended things. When she needs a...release from everything, a distraction, she falls into a sex relationship with Stryker.Stryker is the opposite of everything that Katie is and wants. He is tattooed, pierced, and bleached blond. He's all for the physical relationship that Katie insists is all thats there between them, but they start becoming more. Katie pushes and pulls Stryker. One minute she only wants the physical, the next she just wants to be friends where they hang out and share personal information and talk as friends usually do. When a personal tragedy hits home for Katie, Stryker is there for her and helps her deal when she would have fallen apart. Their differences are great and often get in the way. With parents full of disapproval, jealous girls, drunken mistakes, death, and at times non communication they might or might not just make a turn towards love. less
