review 1: This is the other book in the boxed set, and it is just as good, if not better. Cheryl Bradshaw has her main character, Sloane Monroe, shuck her longtime Mafioso boyfriend. That always seemed incongruous to me. Ms Bradshaw's two proofreaders apparently think that "close proximity" is okay--of course it is widely used, but redundant on p 691--ebook and I am not sure how this works--"I wrapped my hair around an elastic band." Late in the book, Sloane and Cade are told that vital evidence is in a storage facility, but no name or location are given--probably the town is too small for more than one?
review 2: A suspense-filled mystery about a town with a dark past - a past that may be repeating itself.A compelling read, starring some characters I have met in pre
