review 1: I got this book for free off of "BookBub," so to be honest, I didn't really have that high of expectations for it. It took me by surprise when I was taken in by just the first couple of pages. The setting, the descriptions, and the wording were all so captivating. I must admit, I'm automatically going to be sucked in by a "haunting" story... I'm a huge "horror / mystery" fan. This book, however, kept me turning pages. I read it in a total of about 10 hours, which is pretty fast for me. I just couldn't stop reading. I was so interested in what was going to happen next. I liked that there weren't too many characters introduced. There were two MAIN characters, and not too much excess side stuff going on. It was easy to understand what was going on. Overall good story... good ... moreread! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in ghost stories or mysteries.
review 2: A very good mystery/ghost story. This is written a bit like an old-fashioned mystery novel but with a 21st Century setting. The way the characters dug into the mystery bit by bit, slowly gathering information and also the author created a few twists and turns to keep you guessing so you didn't know right away exactly what happened to the parties involved. I think the characters were a little too quick to believe each other though with the more incredible details revealed in the book as well as to forgive for certain things but all in all this was a very entertaining read. less
