review 1: id started this series a while back, forgot to continue on with it, ugh. I think this book was a really good book, murder mystery, suspense thing going on. The killer in this book took body parts and cut them up and made sculptors out of them. pretty gruesome stuff there. The detective, Robert Hunter is this brilliant genius who discovers the patterns of the sculptors, and after suspensful things happening and all sorts of good gruesome stuff, he finds the killer. yay!
review 2: I am reviewing the novel The Death Sculptor by Chris Carter which is an excellent thriller that I bought from a local supermarket. Chris is the creator of The X Files tv series and an excriminal psychologist who has worked on many a murder case. The plot to this book is someone who
... moreworked as a prosecutor and had only weeks to live due to cancer has been brutally murdered. His limbs were removed one by one whilst he was conscious and they were made into a sculpture and it was made to cast a shadow like a shadow puppet. Two other victims follow and Robert Hunter & his partner Garcia have to race against time to apprehend the villain. At first they think because he is a prosecutor it's someone he helped put away. I don't want to give too much away but it turns out the 3 victims knew each other and from that they see a link to a 4th victim. You will end up feeling sorrow for the murderer despite the gruesome murders and it turns to be someone close to the murderer suffered at their hands. The first victim confessed to an unknown visitor which sealed his fate. One issue the book brings up is often murderers feel like a god having power over life and death which is a powerful drug. They also realise the murderer had medical knowledge as the victims are injected with drugs to keep them alive during the torture and the limbs are removed surgically. less
