review 1: I received this book from First Reads Giveaways. Although I haven't been exposed to graphic novels I thought I would give it a try. I enjoyed the historical view with Lewis and Clark, but this felt like I was reading Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter or Pride and Prejudice of Zombies. The pictures were really great! But I felt the story line was lacking. It was interesting enough for me to finish, yet I'm not sure I would keep reading the series.
review 2: A re-imagining of Lewis and Clark's trek across America. Here we find Lewis and Clark cataloging the various flora and fauna as they make their way across the unexplored territory of the US by President Jefferson with a crew of soldiers and convicts. Soon things aren't as they seem as they discover mythological ... moremonsters in the wilds and must fight to survive. A fun start to an alternate view of history. Can't wait to see where this story goes. less
