review 1: this book had a very dan brown like feel to it. what i didn't like about it, however, was that the 'throne' that was supposed to be the main object the book revolves around was introduced very late in the story. also, this story was told from two perspectives that were connected only at the climax. for a long time, the readers don't know what is going on.other than this, it is a very exciting book. the last few chapters are extremely gritting. they had me reading under my desk in school because i simply could not put down the book.another thing i like about this book is that chris kuzneski hasn't included romance as a theme. normally, it is very typical of authors to connect the female lead with any one of the male leads somehow. in this book however, the relationships wer... moree all unadulterated and much more realistic.
review 2: By this book, I read writer first time. His style is research oriented, fast pace with urgency in plot. Each and very place is on map, in real, old characters are very well painted, coupled with new story that is full of thrill. The story is split into two threads in different locations and it is not until the very end that they come together. I just finished this book in 2 days, which is a record for me. less
