review 2: Being a bit of a casual gamer and a sometimes player of World of Warcraft, I always like checking out the books in this universe, just so I can get an expanded understanding of the lore of the game. I picked this book up to read after taking about a year off of World of Warcraft, and upon starting it, I found myself very lost and relying on the WoW lore on the Blizzard website just to understand what had happened previously to the trial. For that's what this entire book is about: the trial of Garrosh Helscream, former leader of the "bad guy" faction also known as The Horde, for war crimes that he personally committed and crimes that any one of his allies committed. The book dragged a bit, as it took me 4 days to read this, and I even started and finished a book in the middle of it. It was very interesting, to someone familiar with the universe in which it is set. It also sets up the newest expansion for the game, Warlords of Draenor. It also makes a person think about why a tyrannical dictator might be motivated to commit the atrocities that they do. The book challenged ideals, and made me think about both this and the reasons why someone might be motivated to oppose such a world view. While I have made the sad decision to leave the game of World of Warcraft, I will probably continue to read the books, for nostalgia's sake, and for personal enjoyment. less

Very interesting to have so many major players in one place. A great start to Warlords of Draenor.

I cannot wait for Warlords of Draenor to be launched to see how the story unfolds from here. :)
