review 1: My love for Indian mythology led me to read this book. I would say the book comprises of a decent blend of history and fiction. Having read fiction works by Arthur Hailey and Dan Brown,I imagined the book to include every minuscule description as possible considering the rich heritage that India is so famous for . The author could have expressed the back end life of each character better ; as in how Imran had come to become such a good cop over the years, the greed that led Bheem Singh to death and what happened to the Austrian Businessman . The CIA guy was taken off the story abruptly. I would say the book could have done better with editing as well. On the whole though, the book was interesting. But I wouldn't say that it got my heart racing.

... morete good and gripping. Loved the overall narration. It would have been great, if the explanation of the edicts, historical artefacts was a bit more detailed or included rough pictures of the antiques as I had difficult time trying to visualize the details and most of the times, it didn't really fit with the explanation in the later part of the book.Enjoyed this book thoroughly though. :) less
