review 1: Carmen Gragera and Alex Williams, international assassins are spending their time in Bora Bora, when they are ambushed. The syndicate wanting each dead, knowing too much to sell the syndicate out. Alex Williams is killed and Carmen Gragera returns to New York for her revenge. Carmen reaches out to her contacts and another assassin to help help her reach the top man in the syndicate. What makes this story interesting is that Carmen is independent, strong and able to endure whatever the syndicate throws at her and survives.
review 2: I was so hoping for this book to be as enticing as the other Christopher Smith books I have read, but it fell a little short. It was a good story, excellent characters, etc, but maybe because I didn't know the characters or the char... moreacters were assassins, I didn't really care that much if they made it through the high paced, twisting plot. It is a good read and other readers will find it interesting. I am not sad I read it, just was slightly disappointed in it. less
