review 1: Have you ever wanted to take a trip to London? You'll feel like you have by the time you reach the end of this book. Cindy Callaghan has expertly created a believable story about a young girl who gets to spend a week "across the pond" with some new friends. She unwittingly finds herself involved in an exciting mystery. I've spent a week in London and I didn't see near the sights that JJ did. Lost in London makes me want to head back over for the real experience. In addition to giving tweens the experience of traveling abroad, they'll also learn some important lessons about life and friendship. A highly-recommended read!
review 2: I received my copy courtesy of First Reads giveaways.Twelve year old Jordan is a little bored with her life and surroundings, having
... morenot ever had the opportunity to travel or take part in anything she considers exciting. So when her school announces an exchange program, she convinces her parents to allow her to participate. This takes her to London, where she has the adventure of her young life, including getting locked in a department store overnight, seeing the sights of London, and ultimately solving a mystery.Aimed at a tween aged audience, this book is a delightful adventure story that might have an appeal for all ages. It is a fast, interesting read, containing all kinds of interesting facts about everything Jordan encounters on her trip. Young readers will enjoy going along with Jordan on her adventure, and relate to her experiences, as she learns not only to navigate news situations, but also finding new friendships in a new and strange place in a short time.I gave it five stars, because it is such a neat story that will hold the attention of the tween group of readers. Definitely worth reading! less

I like how the main character got a makeover and made new friends while she was in England.
