review 1: I admit my initial attraction to this series was based heavily on the fact that I live in or near most of the settings of a portion of they story (that's Detroit Motor City to all y'all). I stuck around for the pleasant story line and the likable characters, problems and all. I admit I got a little worried when I was almost to the end and I'd not seen (in my opinion) that "blackest moment" experienced by the hero and heroine. But I got it and resolution in just enough time. I liked the story. I'm not sure I would read it again, but I definitely liked it. And I think the author shows strong potential. It will be fun to hear her strengthen her voice as I continue through the series.
review 2: Motor City Fae uses the world of the fae but not as enemies. Meagan K
... moreelly is a Detroit artist who does not know she is half elf and half human and an heiress in the world of the fae. Megan holds the deciding vote on who rules in the Fae Council and Ric Thornhill is an elf that has been sent to find Meagan. He must keep her from harm and deliver her in time to keep the peace between humans and the fae. Cindy Spencer Pape’s world is filled with otherworldly people who hide what they are when in the human realm. Motor City Fae has a well-developed plot, great characters and plenty of action. This is book one of the Urban Arcana series and it contains multiple hooks for future stories. less
