review 1: In this installment, Friends vs. Family, we again are following Sang and the boys. In the previous novels, we saw some of what Sang goes through by the hand of her sick mother, but this installment was focused on Sang’s family life. I liked that it was primarily about the things that were going on in that aspect of her life because I had been curious about it after seeing bits and pieces of it in the previous books.Even though this installment focused more on Sang’s home life and not what the Academy boys were doing in the school, it definitely was not lacking in action. Actually, I liked this book the best thus far. There were some heart pounding moments and some scary ones. We also find out some plot-changing things about Sang and her family. I was absolutely glued t... moreo the book.I liked that the boys really stepped up to help Sang, even Mr. Blackbourne and Dr. Green. I liked that they were so quick to want to help her. They were especially selfless and overprotective and adorable in this installment. Also, the tension between them all is definitely building and I am excited to see where that leads. Also, I am interested as to what will happen to Sang with all of the family stuff that goes on. I am really excited to see where this goes!
review 2: This book series just keeps getting better and better! C L Stone, I salute you! This is a must read series, it has everything you could possibly want: a kickass heroine, mysterious backgrounds, comedy, action, handsome guys with amazing personalities. The list goes on and on. We start to learn more about the boy's backgrounds and some hidden secrets that could very easily tear Sang's life apart. This book just keeps you so enthralled that you can't put it down.I loved the scenes where we get to see Sang hang out with the boys, particularly the sleep over and the pool, it was just amazing. These boys are so sweet, you can't just pick one, they are all worth it. The only thing I wished for more of, was Mr Blackbourne and Dr Green, they were hardly in it :(C L Stone brings you on a roller coaster of emotions from happiness with the boys, anger at Sang's family and sadness with her past. She made me just loath Marie and Danielle, I really wanted her or the boys to confront them and get Sang's stuff back. I couldn't help but pity Sang, she was just so innocent. She definitely didn't deserve her "family". Overall, five out of five stars, I would give it ten times more if I could. :) less
