review 1: Deirdre Griffin is the personal assistant to her charismatic, guru/rock star brother, Tag. In fact, Tag’s whole family is locked into his career in a combination of his control needs and their susceptibility to the security of a parasitical existence. The book is definitely not worth reading for these murky family dynamics. However, the story becomes engaging when Deirdre, inspired by a night of drinking vodka, decides to use her brothers massive online following to get herself voted on as a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant. For the most part Deirdre is likeable and funny heroine and you cannot help but cheer her on.
review 2: So, I've read two books by Claire Cook now, and I loved them, but my biggest complaint is that she leaves things a bit ope
... moren-ended. At the end, things have the potential to be resolved, but it's not quite the happily-ever-after that I expected or hoped for. This is especially true with this book. The goal for the main character was to win the dancing trophy. Did she win it? Who knows? That is never revealed. That being said, the book was a quick, easy read, and until I got to the somewhat disappointing ending, it was enjoyable, too. less

Light enough but overall not fond of some family dynamics.
