review 1: This book is perfect for anyone who loves suspense but needs a break from detective/serial killer gore. Clarissa's one night stand morphs from an eager suitor to an obsessive stalker. At the same time, she is a juror on a trial where she learns how easily evidence can be explained away, and a victim's own words and actions can be turned against her. Hence, the need for "The Book of You", a journal in which she chronicles her stalkers behavior.
review 2: If I could I'd push this up to four-and-a-half stars. This was a very, very unnerving book -- I was creeped out in the middle of the afternoon reading it. I think the story was well done and paced, and there was an inevitable sense of what was going to happen that made for more suspense, because you just knew... more this was going to go about as wrong as it could possibly. I think the ending fell apart a little for me -- I would've preferred something shorter or maybe a little different Clarissa at the end, and I never felt like Robert was the one for her though it seemed like I was supposed to there at the last. Altogether, it was a great book, especially for a debut novel. less
