review 1: At first I thought this was going to be one of those "can't put it down" reads, but the more I got into it, the more contrived the whole story seemed. The main character was unbelievably helpless. I didn't root for her in the least. Her stalker was a jerk and a sociopath but she didn't do one thing to help herself, to an extreme degree, just in the service of plot, not in the service of portraying a fully realized woman and her actions and reactions to being stalked.
review 2: I enjoyed this book, it was pretty close to the truth as far as stalking goes. The only thing that bugged me was the overuse of "that" maybe a typo in some spots but it was used to excess! Did anyone notice that? I believe it was her first novel and I think she did a lovely job. I rela... moreted with the main character very much, being in similar situations and not knowing how to handle it! This was a fast paced book and kept me wondering what would happen next! less
