review 1: The description of this book's storyline interested me, but it was not as good as I had hoped. The story moved slowly and the main character never realized why she needed a year off before starting college. Nothing felt resolved and the main character remained stagnant. But to be fair, it was probably just too realistic to be interesting. A teen struggling with her future in real life would not have everything solved and sorted out in a summer.
review 2: It was an easy read to say the least.I had picked this book up since I'm in a similar situation (albeit I've already gone through college and am in the transition between school and the 'real world') and I had hoped that this would inspire me somehow. It didn't. There were a few nice, helpful lines towards
... morethe end of the novel but nothing that made me really think or feel really connected to the story or the characters.I felt like there wasn't much that was actually accomplished in the story. I didn't feel like the MC changed or grew up. There didn't seem to really be any progress, or there was progress but it was minimal.I really wanted this book to be something that it wasn't. Unfortunately, it couldn't live up to my expectations. less

I enjoyed this book. It is more of a young adult book than what I usually read, but still good.
