review 1: I WANTED TO HURRY UP AND FIND OUT WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN BUT THEN I WANTED TO SHUT MY EYES FOR FEAR OF THE OUTCOME. I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HOW BRIAN & RAYA WERE GOING TO MAKE IT, SINCE SHE HAD SOME BIG PROBLEMS OVER THE RICH/POOR THING. SHE WORRIED WAY-TO-MUCH OVER THIS, TO THE POINT OF BEING ANNOYING TO ME. I'M GLAD EVERYTHING TURNED OUT OK FOR THEM SO FAR SINCE THIS KINDA DID AND DIDN'T REALLY END. I HAD A COUPLE OF TEARY MOMENTS WHICH CAUGHT ME TOTALLY BY SURPRISE (had to grab a tissue). NOT A BAD READ BUT A LITTLE DRAWN OUT. ;D
review 2: Well there was some things missing here. The book was enjoyable although there was some instalove for the characters, not much background for Kade, (he suddenly feels bad for Raya and then love blooms, which was really fast) ma
... moreybe the book would have been consistent if the POV of Kade would have been included, but since that is not the case we are left with lack of depth for the whole book. Kade is a nice character, his lovable and entertaining, there are some scenes that are really hot and endearing but they don't bring much congruence to the story. Kade was supposed to be an asshole but he really isn't, (like it is just a prejudice from Raya) the family is supposed to be a bunch of conceit snobs but they are actually really nice people and all this is developed in a few pages, no mystery no nothing. At the begining his father was punishing Kade for being an irresponsible prick, but that representation is hardly portrait in the book. On the other side we have Raya, who an annoying character. We know her background so at least we understand her a little better but still she is dumb, here whole instalove with Kade is because he is super hot that is where the whole attaction comes from, what can be more superficial. Also we have the fact that she's been picked out her whole life, you would believe she's grow some thick skin, but that's not the case, she has no backbone, there are times when you think she is going to be feisty have something make her an endearing character but that never happens. Most of the support characters are barely accounted for, but I guess that is because they are going to have their own book. Still they could have been something more about them, not leaving us with lots of questions about them. The climax is really absurd, but fortunately it's solved in a somewhat original way, so at least we have that, sadly it is explained in one parragraph, just like mentioning it, which really doesn't add to the story.Thankfully this book is free. less

Really liked this book. And I really loved the heroine's reactions to her old man. Very, very good.
