review 1: Let me begin by saying I really enjoyed the first book and loved the drama. This book, however, was UNBELIEVABLY EXCRUCIATING!!! I hated the love triangle between Alyssa, Kane and Gage(Probably because I am 100% in love with Gage) Alyssa became the biggest slut EVER! Kissing one guy just to turn around and kiss another and then blaming it on her nearing change. She is so stupid and can't piece anything together. Yet I found I was bound to the story and unable to put it down. I have never been more annoyed, emotional, pissed off/infuriated, and enthralled. I can't decide if I absolutely hate this book or find it amazingly written and an amazing read. Reading the book was like watching a T.V. series... It had an interesting balance of drama, suspense, action and emotion. I f... moreeel like with a few tweaks to the main characters personality would have been perfect in all aspects. I hope the third book will answer all my questions and settle my raging feelings. I am dying to know who she ends up with... I'm stuck between thinking she and Kane are perfect together and loving Gage so much that he should end up with her because that's what he wants even though he deserves better. I loved Drackus and his longing to reconnect with Alyssa. I understand her fear and weariness of trusting him, but think she should let go and realize everything is did, and is doing has been for her. Not sure what I think of Calypso, her mother... This book has left me with more unanswered questions than before and I'm dying to figure it out.
review 2: I enjoyed the series it is so mysterious and I couldn't put it down. I am still trying to figure out which guy would be right for Alyssa. The father is amazing and really trying to get a relationship with her. Alyssa has been brain washed from the beginning and now she is realizing that there are many things she was unaware of. I felt sorry for her and her complications because she doesn't know who to trust . I am extremely disappointed in Kane and gage because I thought they would be honorable but they are selfish. Onto the next book. less
